We arrived in Doha about 5 in the afternoon. Immigration was a bit confusing as the man
who was supposed to help direct us was talking on his cell phone. Happens everywhere!
We collected our bags, got through customs and got a
taxi. A good bit of traffic in Doha so
it took about an hour for us to get from the Doha airport to the Ritz
Carlton. Beautiful property. Since we were there only 1 night and since
I’m Platinum with Marriott they gave us a large suite.

Unfortunately, my sinus drip has been gradually getting
worse. Don’t feel much like eating but
need to eat something. We showered and
went to the top of the Ritz to a mostly seafood restaurant with a beautiful
view out over the Persian Gulf, of downtown Doha and “the Pearl”, a separate
development. Dinner was good despite the
sinus drainage and now constant cough.
Then to bed.
