At Sea Enroute to Mozambique
We slept until 9 and went for a large breakfast in the
buffet restaurant. They don’t do a very
good job of busing the tables and bringing coffee and water and silver
wear. Oh well.
We spent the morning in lectures – an Indian ambassador who
is very entertaining and a British man who is also entertaining and
informative. Thoroughly enjoyed the
talks on India, Gandhi, and the rivers in Africa. Tim went to his meditation class with Lorena
– he is getting in to this, which is good.
We had lunch at the pool buffet and they had a South African
theme. We ate with Sandy and Arlene from
Palm Beach. We relaxed during the
afternoon, reading and napping.
We went to tea with George and Grant at 4 but left before
trivia. We relaxed in the room and then
dressed for drinks before dinner with Ruby and her husband who is the Staff
Captain of the ship. Paula from Montreal
joined us and we had more fun. Aris
(Aristeidis Mertzanis and Ruby) kept us laughing as he is a proud Greek man and
he was just like the movie “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” – all words come from
Greek words. Great fun with them and a
great dinner. Kali, a cute waiter from
Bali was our waiter – he keeps showing me his “FBI” card and I tell him I’m
“CIA”, but he doesn’t know what that is.
We didn’t finish dinner until almost 10 – last ones in the
dining room yet again. So we went to the
Constellation Theatre to catch the end of the “Come Sail Away” show with the
cast. Lots of energy, good singing and
dancing.
We went to Observation and played music trivia again. Sharon and Larry from Aventura joined George
and I. Tim played with Patricia, Paul,
and Grant. They came in third place and
we were in 4th place. It was
fun.
We stayed and had a drink with Sharon and Larry and then
went to bed about midnight. Thank
goodness we can sleep in again tomorrow.
