Thursday, December 4, 2014 - Crusing the Indian Ocean

At Sea Enroute to The Seychelle Islands

We got up around 8.  Tim ran on the deck and I did 2 miles on the treadmill in the gym.  It was hard for me as the ship was rocking back and forth so I had to hold on.  Tim and I met up for coffee and yogurt and then showered and changed.

Tim read on the back deck outside the Lounge and I stayed inside to hopefully help my face recover from the wind/reflection/sun burn.  It is a little bit better today but still very red.

We went to the dining room for lunch and had a small lunch.  Tim is doing great with the Canyon Ranch limited calorie selections.  I had that for my main course.

We relaxed for the afternoon and went through future cruise catalogs.  We have picked out 4 we might be interested in and we had an appointment to discuss them.  May 2015 from Dubai to Barcelona, July roundtrip to/from Copenhagen, August roundtrip to/from London, and December Rio to Miami through the Amazon.  We’ll see what develops when we talk to the consultant.

At 4 we went to High Tea in the Lounge – it was fabulous – tea with sandwiches and sweets.  We dressed and went to the King Neptune event at 6 to celebrate the crossing of the equator.  We are no longer pollywogs since we have crossed the equator at sea previously, but all of the pollywogs were indoctrinated to be shellbacks.  It was fun and the dancers were “pirates” without their shirts.  A fun time was had by all.

It was a fun event with lots of laughs

They hauled Gemma away and one of the deck hands came in to kiss the "newbies"!

 

We went to the lounge and had drinks with George and Grant.  And then we went to dinner in the Compass Rose.  They had fresh tuna that they had purchased in the Maldives and it was great.  George and Grant were going to the concert in the theatre but we went to the Observation Lounge for drinks and met up with Paul and Patricia, Allan and Nathan, David, and another performer Jemma.  We had fun.  We headed back to our state room about midnight and had a restful night.
