We went to the concierge lounge early for the breakfast
buffet. My cough continues to get worse
and the sinus drainage just won’t seem to let up. Tim insisted that we stay in the hotel until
2 so we did. The plan is to get to the
port after the crowd so we don’t have to wait in line. So I slept most of the morning and early afternoon.
We checked out at 2 pm – another ordeal which is surprising
for a JW. The taxi driver took us the
short way to the Rashaid Port but there was construction and he couldn’t get us
close with all of our backs. So we went
on a “hike” with our bags to the terminal.
Finally one of the porters met us and took the bags from us. There was no check-in portside. They met us at the gangway with champagne and
then we went to the theatre for check-in.
Short process.
We went to our Suite 707 which is spacious and
comfortable. We unpacked and went up for
sail away out of Dubai. It has a pretty
skyline. But the air was turning cool as
we set sail so I needed to get back inside.

We decided to order room service and that was good. Just a very light dinner for me. All of the alcohol is included in the cruise
so they brought us a bottle or red, white and a huge bottle of Grey Goose
Vodka. It was an early evening for me - hoping that I feel better tomorrow.
